Precautions for installing WPC boards include the following aspects:
Cutting and drilling: It is recommended to use alloy saw blades and drill bits, and sparse-toothed saw blades are easier to cut. When using plastic wood materials, you don't have to consider the grain direction or knots of the wood. When drilling large or deep holes, you should withdraw the drill bit regularly to bring out the debris.
Storage and stacking: Plastic wood profiles are heavier and less tough than wood, so be careful when handling them. When storing, they should be placed on a flat ground. When stacking, the center distance of the joists should not exceed 60 cm, and they should be arranged vertically. When stacking outdoors, the whole bundle should be packed to prevent deformation.
Installation: The span of the keel during installation is generally 30-35 cm. When using self-tapping screws and special screws, holes must be drilled in advance, and the diameter of the pre-drilled holes should be less than 3/4 of the diameter of the straight nails or screws. When the profile width is greater than 10 mm, each end should be fixed with two screws.
Gap: The edge-to-edge gap should be ≥4 mm during installation, and the head-to-head gap depends on the profile length, installation temperature and thermal expansion coefficient. Ensure drainage, cleaning and slight thermal expansion and contraction.
Cleaning and leveling the floor: Clean the floor before laying to ensure there is no dust. Floor leveling is very important, and the horizontal error should be controlled within 2 mm to prevent warping later.
Floor treatment: Cut the floor according to space requirements and reserve the position of the skirting. When splicing the floor, align and flatten it to ensure there are no gaps.
Baseboard installation: Measure the required skirting length for each area, cut and install it. The joint treatment should ensure that the two ends are symmetrical, and finally fix the skirting with floor nails.
